Proposed Analysis: I am currently part of a grant working on software and methodology for the joint modelling of multivariate longitudinal and survival data (https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/translational-medicine/departmentsandgroups/joine-r/about/). We are now at the stage of looking for clinical datasets to apply our findings to. With the current public interest in Alzheimer's disease, allied to talk of a coming epidemic in the United Kingdom, this project seems like an excellent opportunity. The work could advance current thinking about effective biomarkers and, in particular, how they work together. The plan would be to fit multivariate joint models to identify a suite of longitudinal variables that can help explain and predict conversion to Alzheimer's disease.
