Proposed Analysis: | We would like to ask you for dates in our investigation. We create visual scales of brain atrophy, which could be used in diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. We are focused on specific brain regions, mostly on parietal lobes and hippocampus. We would be very grateful if we had access to T1 weighted MRI images of brain (1,5/ 3T or better, mainly coronal sections) from group of patients with early-onset Alzheimer's disease and control group of cognitive normal subjects of similar age. We would like to use our new scale called PAS (Parietal Atrophy Score) to score parietal atrophy of these subjects. We believe that there could be found significant difference in parietal atrophy between these groups and our simple scoring system could be used as a diagnostic tool for early-onset Alzheimer's disease. If possible, other MRI dates from groups of patients with frontotemporal dementia (similar age group as early-onset AD), late-onset Alzheimer's disease in early stage and cognitive normal subjects of similar age as late-onset AD would be very useful for our research. Thank you very much. |
