| Proposed Analysis: | I am a 1st Year Ph.D. student working on artificial intelligence in the healthcare domain. Specifically, I will be working in the area of neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's disease and Dementia. The project I am currently working on involves the development of a system which is capable of identifying individuals who have a high risk of dementia. We have partnered with a local hospital and a series of games developed by the research lab will be made available to patients with mild cognitive impairment. The patient's performance on the games, daily nutrition information, and demographic information will be used to predict the risk of dementia. Predicting future progression is a difficult task, as our current data do not cover a sufficiently long time period. I plan to carry out data exploration/analysis on the ADNI data to find key features that we could include in our study and to validate the predictive models we have developed. |
