Proposed Analysis: we are a group of five students, three of us are currently students of computer engineering and the other two are studying medicine, and we are planning to work on early diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease using machine learning techniques under the supervision of the professor S.M Rouhani and Dr. Bostani. Since a basic familiarity with neuroimaging such as PET and MRI and FMRI is a requirement, after consulting our supervisors, we came to the conclusion that the best starting point would be an implementation of "DeepAD: Alzheimer's Disease classification via deep convolutional Neural network using MRI and fMRI" paper by "Saman Sarraf, Danielle D. DeSouza, John Anderson, Ghassem Tofighi", for which we require the data set.we are hoping to design an algorithm using a multi-modality convolutional neural network to detect stable mild cognitive impairment(sMCI) and progressive mild cognitive impairment(pMCI) afterward.
