Principal Investigator
Principal Investigator's Name: Miles Berger
Institution: Duke University Medical Center
Department: Anesthesiology Dept
Country:
Proposed Analysis: I am interested in examining proteomic biomarker data in the CSF of patients with AD vs MCI vs normal controls, and as a function of AD risk allele carrier status (ie in TREM2, ApoE, CR1, etc). We are planning on adding an amendment to our IRB protocol (number listed below) to also cover allowing us to review ADNI data, in addition to the prospective data we are obtaining in our patient cohort under this protocol. This will allow us to compare protein changes in the CSF seen before vs after surgery in older adults to protein changes in the CSF seen in MCI and AD.
Additional Investigators
Investigator's Name: Mary Cooter
Proposed Analysis: CSF protein analysis as mentioned in the main submission form.
Investigator's Name: Yi-Ju Li
Proposed Analysis: CSF protein analysis as mentioned in the main submission form.
Investigator's Name: Jeff Browndyke
Proposed Analysis: CSF protein analysis as mentioned in the main submission form, as well as analysis of the relationship between CSF protein changes and fMRI changes seen in patients with MCI and or AD, and as a function of AD risk allele carrier status
Investigator's Name: David Corcoran
Proposed Analysis: Together with Dr Berger, we are interested in examining proteomic biomarker data in the CSF of patients with AD vs MCI vs normal controls, and as a function of AD risk allele carrier status (ie in TREM2, ApoE4, CR1, etc).
Investigator's Name: Jennifer Modliszewski
Proposed Analysis: Together with Drs Berger and Corcoran, Dr Modliszewski will be analyzing targeted proteomic data from the ADNI study for proteomic signatures of specific AD risk alleles (APOE4, TREM2, etc).
Investigator's Name: Melody Reese
Proposed Analysis: Dr Reese will be assisting with our work on the mechanisms by which APOE4 contributes to AD risk, including CSF proteomic correlates of APOE4 genotype.
