| Proposed Analysis: | My research is centred in uses of photography, moving image and text/image as means of expressing, in installations and artists' publications, aspects of the lived experience of cognitive decline, with particular focus on Alzheimer's Disease. The images I use in my work are mainly of my own creation but also include scientific and medical imagery. For a specific research outcome I've planned, I now have need of anonymised, high-quality MRI scan files that can be used for artistic purpose. The artworks I intend to make are speculative and experimental. They will require the extraction of sequenced image slices that will be printed and have topographies cut into them using a laser engraving technique. |
