| Proposed Analysis: | The mechanism of late-life depression (LLD) progressing to dementia is still unknown, and excessive deposition of β amyloid (Aβ) is one of the main pathology features of Alzheimer Disease. Recent researches demonstrated that Neurofilament light (NfL) had important effects on the pathology of AD, and our preliminary experiments found that there was characteristic expression of NfL and amyloid Beta in peripheral blood of LLD. We hypothesize: NfL and Aβ has the predictive effect on the risk of LLD progressing to dementia. We will apply for ADNI database and analyse the predictive effect of blood NfL and A β on LLD progressing to dementia. |
