Proposed Analysis: I am an MD-PhD student mentoring a high school student who is interested in performing research at the intersection of machine learning and Alzheimer's Disease. As this is a primarily educational pursuit, the proposed analysis involves replicating previous findings of classifying sMRI data as Alzheimer's Disease or healthy subject using machine learning. If successful, the student will go on to attempt improving upon these results using newer machine learning architectures. The student hopes to publish his findings in a journal that targets submission from high school students, such as the National High School Journal of Science or the Journal of Emerging Investigators.
