Proposed Analysis: | The overall goal of our analysis is to construct regression models for predicting age from raw and processed T1 images and resting-state fMRI (rs-fMRI) data. The T1 images and the rs-fMRI data will be analyzed using FreeSurfer and DPABI, respectively. Elastic net regression will be applied to construct brain age models for cognitively normal individuals from the extracted structural parameters and resting-state complexity / connectivity measures. Ten-fold cross-validation will be adopted to evaluate the performance of the models in predicting age. The models will also be tested using the T1 images and rs-fMRI data from participants with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's disease (AD). In addition, the brain age models will be tested using the T1 images and rs-fMRI data collected in two of our ongoing projects (HKRGC-GRF #15601718 and #15606119). |
