Proposed Analysis: | In order to develop a computer vision solution, a computed-aided-diagnosis system for the detection of Alzheimer's disease, it is paramount to extract robust features for data representation. In this sense, we intend to investigate the impact of using convolution networks, capsule networks, and transformer-based architectures for automatic feature extraction. Our research group has expertise in applying deep learning techniques with medical data, as seen in my Google Scholar profile (https://scholar.google.com.br/citations?user=20pViLEAAAAJ&hl=pt-BR). Through partnerships with other researchers at my institution, we intend to expand our area of expertise for Alzheimer's disease as well. I intend to allocate master's and doctoral students to work with the ADNI database. Our laboratory web site: http://www.decom.ufop.br/csilab/ |
