| Proposed Analysis: | We have an ongoing research project devoted to healthy and pathological aging. ADNI data will serve as contrast for our own nation-wide data and will improve estimation across different progression models we are setting up. The MRI data will be analyzed for extracting disease progression markers to improve those models and facilitate their further application to national policies. |

| Proposed Analysis: | The study of healthy aging and its pathological deviations is a priority of the Cuban government. Our institute seeks to generate general guidelines for dealing with dementia in general and with Alzheimer's disease in particular. We are setting up disease progression models for predicting different stages of the disease so we can recommend interventions. The ADNI data, in combination with our own data, will be used for tuning and further testing those models. |
