| Proposed Analysis: | My partner and I wish to use a machine learning approach to recommend medical treatments. The main idea is that with the use of latent variables, we can model the causal relationship between the covariates of the patient -- i.e symptoms and medical history -- and the treatments they receive. Once the latent variable has been identified, we can consider this as the patient's "type", which we will use as basis for treatment recommendation. We are doing this work as part of our Master's Thesis. |
