Proposed Analysis: | Using some recent works by A/Prof. Pulin Gong on spatiotemporal dynamics of brain information flow, we are interested in deploying these models to compare patients with Alzheimer's with healthy patients in hopes of finding biomarkers or early detection methods. The models rely on computing vector fields associated with BOLD data which detect how different brain areas send signals and communicate, including the formation of vortices (or hubs). Our conjecture is that these may behave differently in a distinguishable way between patients with and without Alzheimer's. |
