Proposed Analysis: In the working memory system, we have found there exists special dynamics pattern which can help us reduce the dimensionality of the system. Such dynamics pattern can explain the cognitive ability differences from parameters differences (such as functional connectivity, excitability of brain regions, structural connectivity). Besides, our analytical framework allows us to quantify the effect of parameter changes (like task switching) on system dynamics. Therefore, we want to further investigate whether our framework is sensitive to brain states changes on a larger time scale such as aging. First, we will use the MRI data as part of the parameters of the model to fit the PET data. Then we will try to investigate the relationship between parameter differences, cognitive differences and dynamics patterns by using our analysis method. We expect to reduce the dimensionality of the parameter space and analyze the parameter sensitivities to provide possible treatment options.
