Proposed Analysis: The primary objective of this research endeavor is to harness the power of transformer models by pre-training them using a vast corpus of unlabeled brain MRI data. The study aims to achieve this by employing a combination of predefined pretext tasks and T1 structural data to train these models. Subsequently, the pre-trained transformers will be fine-tuned to perform various downstream tasks such as accurately classifying Alzheimer's disease and predicting brain age. The ultimate goal of this research is to leverage the capabilities of deep learning techniques and pre-trained models to address a wide spectrum of issues related to the brain, even in scenarios where data availability is limited. By doing so, we hope to make significant contributions to the field of medical imaging and assist in the early detection and diagnosis of various brain-related disorders.
