Proposed Analysis: The research project aims to apply deep learning techniques to classify Alzheimer's disease (AD), mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and normal control (NC) groups using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data. The project will use 3D convolutional neural networks (CNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM) networks to handle spatio-temporal information in fMRI and achieve higher classification accuracy than traditional machine learning methods. This study proposes to apply advanced deep learning techniques to fMRI data analysis and classification, leveraging the spatio-temporal information in brain activity patterns for clinical diagnosis.
