Principal Investigator
Principal Investigator's Name: MERYEM KARAGOZ
Institution: UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA
Department: BIOCOMPLEXITY INSTITUTE
Country:
Proposed Analysis: My research field is developing deep-learning-based models for medical image analysis providing robust and performance-enhancing solutions in the lack of labeled data. Deep learning-based diagnosis provides us to automate diagnosis and detection systems at the expert level for clinical usage by reducing expert demand for medical image tasks. So I am interested in ADNI Dataset for developing a deep learning-based CAD system.
Additional Investigators
Investigator's Name: O. UFUK NALBANTOGLU
Proposed Analysis: Ufuk Nalbantoglu earned his B.S. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Bogaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2004, and his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in 2011. He continued his research at UNL between years 2011-2013. He joined Computer Engineering department of Erciyes University, Turkey, in 2014, where he currently serves as an Assistant Professor. He is the program director of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology in Erciyes University, and also serves as the principal investigator of Bioinformatics Division in Genome and Stem Cell Center, Erciyes University. He is the Author of Computational Genomic Signatures (Morgan Claypool, 2011). His principal research interests are the analysis of high-throughput biological data using the concepts of signal processing, machine learning, and information theory.
