Proposed Analysis: | Analysis of Diffusion Tensor Images for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease. Use of the derived measures of Fractional Anisotropy and Mean Diffusivity as discriminant features in the classification between patients and healthy controls. Then, application of the developed classifiers to the LMCI and EMCI cases, in order to try to achieve early diagnosis and use FA and MD as AD markers. Data are to be classified using Support Vector Machine and Neural Networks. |

Investigator's Name: | Andre Altmann |
Proposed Analysis: | Currently, as a PhD student at University College London, I will focus on the analysis of genetic data, trying to estimate the impact of genetic variants located on the X chromosome on imaging phenotypes of Alzheimer's disease. Therefore, I will perform Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) with quantitative traits on data from the ADNI cohort. The proposed analysis is being carried on under the supervision of Dr Altmann. |
