Proposed Analysis: The increase in bridging-vein associated subdural hematoma with age has been associated with age-related brain parenchymal fraction (BPF). BPF may allow increased relative motion between the skull and brain, leading to bridging vein tension and risk of failure. Therefore, the risk of subdural hematoma from bridging vein bleeding as a function of head motion would be expected to vary not only with age, but more directly with the extent of BPF. The main objective of this study is to select appropriate comparison data on BPF by age, so that we can use it to map the BPF measurements on our post mortem human surrogates (PMHS) to the statistical distribution of BPF by age. PMHS head will be impacted to create bridging vein failure in this study
