Principal Investigator's Name: | Christine Fennema-Notestine |
Institution: | UCSD |
Department: | Psychiatry and Radiology |
Country: | United States of America |
Proposed Analysis: | Using methods developed in collaboration with the Morphometry Biomedical Informatics Research Network (mBIRN), we will use publicly available raw data from the ADNI study to improve image processing techniques and workflows for efficiently handling large numbers of datasets from this elderly population. We will apply these techniques to investigate clinical hypotheses related to differentiating control, MCI, and AD groups and predicting future conversion based on combinations of morphometric, metabolic, neuropsychological, and other available biomarkers. Investigations will include studies of regional volume, cortical thickness, and shape analysis in collaboration with Johns Hopkins co-investigators. |
