Proposed Analysis: | My colleagues and I have built two statistical models to cluster coordinate-based fMRI meta-data in hopes of helping scientist identify novel patterns in brain activity. The first model, a spatial Poisson point process, utilized the Dirichlet process to describe the distribution of foci and has since been published, http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpls/abs_all.jsp?arnumber=7360154&tag=1. For our second model, we elected to model the realization of the foci using a mixture of Dirichlet processes. We have applied this model to our current fMRI meta-data but would like to apply it to additional fMRI data to further explore the model's capabilities using "cleaner" fMRI data. We feel that ADNI's database could provide rich data which would be ideal for identifying novel clustering patterns. |
