Proposed Analysis: | We have recently developed these prognostic models in the Amsterdam Dementia Cohort. The aim is to validate a set of prognostic models that can be fed with available patient characteristics (age, sex and MMSE), resulting in an estimate of AD-dementia (i.e. a one-year progression and three-year progression risk (% with corresponding confidence interval). Subsequently, adding results of additional diagnostic tests (cerebrospinal fluid: abeta and tau, and/or data from magnetic resonance imaging: hippocampal volume and normalized whole brain volume) will either increase or decrease the one-year progression and three-year progression risk. |
