Proposed Analysis: | We believe that it is possible to use new AI methods to significantly reduce the PET radiotracer dose required for FDG and amyloid imaging. Our initial results suggest that by using simulated low dose images created by removing a fraction of the PET counts recorded in the raw list mode data, we can still produce diagnostic quality images. We believe this is important because once a therapy becomes available, large numbers of people need to be screened, and thus reducing radiation dose will be important. |
