| Proposed Analysis: | We will analyze ADNI data to perform mitochondria-GWAS on AD diagnoses, CSF measurements, and brain scans. Identification of mitochondria SNPs could indicate biological significance of mitochondrial-derived peptides (MDPs), a topic on which my lab specializes. MDPs are associated with AD. I am a graduate student in Dean Cohen's laboratory. We are beginning a collaboration with Dr. Meredith Braskie of the USC Imaging Genetics Center. This work will be used for several upcoming grants and papers. |
