Proposed Analysis: Alzheimer’s disease, caused by brain cell degeneration is characterized by progressive impairment of cognitive and memory functions. The analysis of cognitive impairment in these patients has received more attention in literature. Neuroimaging techniques such as MRI, PET, SPECT etc., has been widely used for the analysis of cognitive functioning. Automatic multi modal analysis using MRI and PET in these patients can confirm the regions most affected and their corresponding cell degeneration levels. This analysis helps the physicians to guide through the treatment procedure for improved life time. Voxel based analysis and statistical measures from the MRI an PET images obtained from the patients with Alzheimer's disease are to be done to provide the cognitive functioning ability of these patients. Machine learning techniques proved to provide better classification are to be utilized in this study. Thus the correlation to the regions affected in the brain evidenced in MRI and PET images are to be presented.
