| Proposed Analysis: | We would like to find some parameters witch could help to identify if this MRI is from an elderly normal control (NC), an MCI or AD participant. In a first step we will segment the data with the FREESURFER pipeline to get specific brain structures. The entorhinal cortex and the hippocampus are two areas which are affected at first side. But just volume is not enough to differentiate between the groups. In addition we plan to perform a texture analysis with this areas, to get a view more parameters that could maybe help to identify the participants better with just MRI imaging. We already have a small group of data of our own. With this sample we found some texture parameters which seem to be helpful. We would like to use the ADNI data to confirm this outcome. Because at the moment we have just a small group of 25 healthy controls, 25 MCI and 25 AD participants. |
