Proposed Analysis: We will examine the dynamic role of the cerebral accumulation of amyloid and tau on the symptoms and the progression of Alzheimer’s disease by multidimensional analysis of the data of Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) . Based on the longitudinal quantitative data of amyloid-/tau-PET and other clinical / imaging data, we will try to examine a) the effect of the accumulation of amyloid and tau on the progression of the cognitive, behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, b) the role of the accumulation of amyloid and tau on the change of the construction and the function of the brain by using the data of MRI (T1, DTI, and fMRI), c) the background factors of the patients which can modulate the amyloid and tau accumulation and their effect on the symptoms and the construction/function of the brain revealed by the analysis of a) and b). From our analysis, we can expect the acquirement of the basic information for the development of new evaluative and therapeutic methods of AD.
