Proposed Analysis: | Dear Data Publication and Sharing Committee, I’m a PHD student at LILY Research Centre, Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Currently, I’m involved in a project which aims to develop a cognitive functioning assessment toolkit that can help with the early detection and intervention of dementia. The toolkit will be based on digital devices, including mobile phones, tablets, and exercise kiosks. Thus, it can be easily accessed and help to monitor the cognitive functions of its user longitudinally. Particularly, I’m interested in predicting the risk of developing dementia (in MCI or even pre-MCI phase) from demographic data, lifestyle information, medical history, and clinical assessment records. One focus of my research is to show that the risk of developing dementia can be estimated from these routinely collected data. Another important focus of my research is to be able to generate reasonable and convincing explanations for the risk predictions. |
