Proposed Analysis: Dear Sir/ Madam, I would like to apply the data from the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) study, which, I promise, are only used for scientific research by myself. As described on the website, I find that the ADNI is a longitudinal study designed to develop clinical, imaging, genetic, and biochemical biomarkers for the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). My research interests are survival analysis, logitudianl data analysis and high dimensional data analysis. Therefore, motivated by these data, I am interested in developing some novel methods in the selection of high dimensional genetic, and biochemical biomarkers for the AD patients. I think my work may help find some useful factors in reducing the risk of getting AD and also may be benifit for the early detection of the AD. Meanwhile, I promise that I will not share this data with anyone else. Thank you very much for the consideration. Shuwei.
