| Proposed Analysis: | I am requesting access to promote the following idea: " understanding the genetic basis of neurolog- ical disorders is through studies that integrate multi-scale data from ge- netic/genomic, multimodal brain imaging, and environmental risk factors (Hibar, et al., 2011; Thompson, et al., 2013; Hibar, et al., 2015), so called imaging genetics studies." This idea is put forth in "A Review of Statistical Methods in Imaging Genetics" (2018) by Nathoo et al. More specifically, I am a PhD student of Statistics at the University of Georgia. I am under the co-advisorship of Professor Nicole Lazar, who specializes in fMRI data analysis, and Professor Liang Liu, who specializes in statistical genetics. Obtaining this data will assist me in performing dissertation research in expanding the statistical methods for analyzing imaging genetics to further understand the underlying neurological abnormalities that may occur in the presence of a known genetic disorder, such as Alzheimer's Disease. |
