There are many active research projects accessing and applying shared ADNI data. Use the search above to find specific research focuses on the active ADNI investigations. This information is requested annually as a requirement for data access.
Principal Investigator
Principal Investigator's Name: | Ellen Wijsman |
Institution: | University of Washington |
Department: | Medicine |
Country: | |
Proposed Analysis: | We seek to carry out association analysis of whole-genome DNA sequence variants, using APOE genotype, case/control status and endophenotypes such as cognitive measures and biomarker measurements, in followup/confirmation analyses of the Alzheimer's Disease Sequencing Project data. |
Additional Investigators
Investigator's Name: | Timothy Thornton |
Proposed Analysis: | Dr. Thornton brings expertise in biostatistics methods to analysis of multi-ethnic populations, as is the case for the full ADSP sample with the ADNI sample as a subset. His role is to help choose, implement, and interpret the proposed analyses. |
Investigator's Name: | Elizabeth Blue |
Proposed Analysis: | Dr. Blue is focused on focused analysis of particular genomic regions identified via genomewide analyses, described originally. She will investigate the impact of taking linkage disequilibrium and local ancestry into account in regions of interest defined by the genomewide analyses in our main plan. |
Investigator's Name: | Seth Temple |
Proposed Analysis: | Mr. Temple, graduate student research assistant, will try to augment our regional analyses with more sophisticated identity-by-descent analyses (across individuals in the sample). This may both clarify our results, and more accurately define the segments within regions of interest that carry variants that are relevant for Alzheimer's disease risk. |
