Proposed Analysis: To apply the ANDI dataset to our proposed model. Basically, In high-throughput cancer genomic studies, extensive efforts have been devoted to searching for the genomic markers associated with the development and progression of the disease. The heterogeneity of genetic effects associated with the outcomes across subjects has been noted in literature. However, the statistical methods that can accommodate the heterogeneous effects are still limited. Thus we'd like to consider a scenario where the effects of genes change smoothly across subjects, which are ordered by a known biomarker. We have developed a penalization-based approach, which applies a penalization technique to simultaneously select important genes and estimate their unique effects on the outcome variables of each subject. And to test the efficacy of our model, we'd like to apply the ANDI dataset to our model.
