Proposed Analysis: | We are interested in elucidating molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer disease (AD), in particular, the role of differential gene regulation and post-transcriptional modifications as facilitators of disease progression and/or changes in associated neuroplasticity. We plan to use the data to examine whether changes in expression networks and/or RNA editing landscapes are linked with specific phenotypes and/or clinical symptoms, and if so, to build a model utilizing specific patterns as early biomarkers of AD or other neurodegenerative conditions. |
