Proposed Analysis: To investigate the impact of cerebral small vessel disease(CSVD) on the development and progression of cognitive decline, with a specific focus on Alzheimer's disease(AD). We appreciate your imaging data which we can use to appraise CSVD markers(small subcortical infarcts, lacunes, white matter hyperintensities, perivascular spaces, microbleeds) and evaluate the MRI-suggested CSVD burden. We plan to perform analysis of the associations between the baseline and progression of CSVD burdens with longitudinal cognition decline in different domains, using the information of your neuropsychological tests. We want to divide our study into several groups based on some AD-specific features, like family history of AD, APOE4 status, and presence of amyloid in PET scan. So the information of clinical and pathological diagnosis of AD in your database is also appreciated. By doing this, we can better investigate the impact of CSVD on cognition in people with different baseline risk for AD, and the interplay between CSVD and AD-related features in the process of leading to cognitive impairment.
