Proposed Analysis: To Whom It May Concern: My name is XIAO LIN HUANG. I am a graduate student majoring in Computer Science and my field of study is bioinformatics. Alzheimer's disease (AD) is considered one of the most common diseases in elderly people worldwide. With the increase of human life expectancy, it will indeed pose an enormous public health and financial burden to society, as there is currently no designate treatment to stop this disease due to the poor understanding of the complex biological behavior of genetic variants in AD pathogenesis. Exploration of the association between genes and diseases is of great significance in unraveling the biological mechanism of the disease, which has many potential clinical implications in early prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the disease. My research motivation is to use computational approaches to identify AD-associated genes by performing diagnostic classification of AD with additional interpretation and validation of the statistical findings at the end of the study. I hope through this study, more rare AD-associated genes and genetic variants can be identified in candidate regions, which can help other researchers to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the cellular basis of AD and its potentially implicated signal pathways in the future. Therefore, I want to sincerely ask for approval to assess the data and samples. Thank you for your consideration. Waiting for your response. Yours Sincerely, XIAO LIN HUANG
