| Proposed Analysis: | Im actually a high schooler who is doing the Pioneer Research Program with Dr. Avani Wildani, I put BA because there was no option for a high schooler. My research concentration is focused on neural networks and I am interested in exploring the use of convolutional neural networks and fMRI brain scans in order to identify the different stages of Alzheimer’s Disease: preclinical Alzheimer’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, mild dementia, moderate dementia, and severe dementia in order to facilitate diagnosis and better understand its progression. Specifically, this work will contribute to current research by elaborating on convolutional neural networks that distinguish MCI patients that will progress to Alzheimer’s Disease from those who will not surpass the MCI stage and from healthy controls.I will need ADNI access so I can narrow down my focus but it will be analyzed in a way to construct neural networks. |
