Proposed Analysis: I have always had an interest regarding how the machine learning algorithms and neural networks influenced the health sector area. After going through your research interests, I found the research article Diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder from Brain Resting State Functional Connectivity Patterns Using a Deep Neural Network with a Novel Feature Selection Method interesting. I read the article briefly and found some articles which were aligned with diagnosis of diseases using advanced machine learning algorithms which focused on diagnosing of diseases like Alzheimer’s using graph theory, classifying major depressive disorders using support vector machines. All of the above articles have led my interest towards application of machine learning in the heath sector area and I would like to do my capstone project to efficiently assist in the diagnose of a disease using the resting-state fMRI by applying advanced machine learning model or deep neural networks.
