Proposed Analysis: | My primary research interests are in the fields of data mining, machine learning, and deep learning. My research focuses on the design, analysis, and experimental evaluation of machine learning/deep learning algorithms for high-dimensional neuroimaging data. In the past two decades, neuroimaging has become the most commonly used imaging technique for the study of the human brain, which has given us insights about the complex neural characteristics of the human brain and also provided helpful information for the diagnosis of many diseases. However, the analysis of neuroimaging data is extremely complex, requiring the use of sophisticated techniques from acquiring raw data to image preprocessing and statistical analysis. As a result, it is often said that “neuroscience is data rich yet theory-poor.” Therefore, the primary motivation for driving my work is to find practical algorithms to bridge the gap between theoretical developments and real-world applications. |
