Proposed Analysis: | Data will be used to help design and validate several automated image processing pipelines, as described below: i) a pipeline to automatically identify the anterior and posterior commissural landmarks. Requested data will be used to form a reference database of manually-labelled subjects, which help to process new images ii) a pipeline for free water estimation from single-shell diffusion MRI data. Requested data will be used to validate the efficacy of free water-based measures (previous studies have shown that free water dMRI endpoints can be used to distinguish diseased patients from healthy controls) iii) a "BrainAGE" pipeline, in which a machine learning algorithm is trained to predict subject age from a large multi-centre cohort of structural scans, after which model residuals (difference in "brain age" vs actual age) forms a useful clinical index. |
