Proposed Analysis: The NHS is currently at its limit due to the recent coronavirus pandemic, meaning that time spent for Alzheimer's specific diagnostic development is increasingly limited. I want to use the data provided to create a machine learning algorithm that specifically looks at biomarkers in the form of voxels and patterns of voxels which influence the classification of the disease in order to speed up and help facilitate the diagnostic power of PET and MRI scans. I'm hoping to get to a high enough classification accuracy that the NHS will start to invest more time into machine learning to aide its services for our patients, as the current system is incredibly time consuming and often down to the operator's eyes. I feel if a benefit can be demonstrated from this work, we as a public funded institution can begin to move more towards the future and begin to utilise the vast benefits of technology that are out there.
