Proposed Analysis:	My thesis project explores Triggering Receptor Expressed on Myeloid Cells-2 (TREM2) associations with concomitant pathways of brain injury in Alzheimer’s disease: tau- and cerebrovascular-related neurodegeneration. This includes a biomarker approach which aims to determine whether sTREM2 protein expression is associated with tau and cerebrovascular pathology over the course of normal aging and AD. This strategy involves utilizing data from ADNI to explore as well as replicate earlier biomarker CSF sTREM2 associations.
