Proposed Analysis: | The main objective of my research is to analyze normal and pathological aging trends in an elderly population with machine learning tools. The data provided by the ADNI study (structural T1 data and clinical assessment) will be used to build a (generative) brain aging model that enables the classification/detection of Alzheimer's subjects and also allows to further explore and analyze patterns of healthy/pathological aging at a population- as well as a subject-specific level. In this context, the data will, furthermore, be used to develop novel techniques for explainable AI that help to understand and to explain the decisions made by our machine learning models. |
