Proposed Analysis: We aim to apply a novel statistical model and algorithm that incorporates spatial dependence and structure in dynamic PET images. This is a Bayesian method involving the use of a Potts model as a prior, together with the compartmental model for PET trace kinetics. In essence the prior encodes spatial dependence on the number of compartments. Consequently, doing so should give better estimates of the volume of distribution of the PET tracer. We have applied the method on toy examples, and simulated data. We would like to apply the method on measured PET data and compare it to other existing analysis methods; and hoping to possibly publish any interesting and significant results.
