Proposed Analysis: | SharpTx’s mission is to improve the quality of life and brain health outcomes for millions of people over the next decade by detecting cognitive decline earlier than current methods and promoting targeted lifestyle interventions backed by science. The purpose of our study is to build a complex but flexible models that can differentiate between healthy ageing individuals and those who are at risk of cognitive decline/dementia and to predict the likelihood of developing the disease based on risk factors, cognitive performance, CSF biomarkers and genomics. The study would initially look into health and lifestyle risk factors to build a complex but flexible model that can predict the likelihood of dementia at a later stage in life. At the second stage, we will investigate cognitive data and lastly, we will incorporate biomarkers such as CSF biomarkers and potentially genomics to determine whether the previously developed model can be improved, based on this additional data. |
