Proposed Analysis: Study Objective: Examination of cognitive resilience in APOE4 positive participants. Background: Cognitive resilience is defined as resilience to cognitive decline despite dementia/Alzheimer’s pathology or genetic risk. We would like to examine individuals who remain resilient to cognitive decline despite being APOE4 positive. Specifically, we would like to examine what demographic, medical and clinical factors contribute to resilience. In doing so we hope to identify modifiable factors that build cognitive resilience which can inform future interventions. Methodology: A cognitively resilience group will be defined based high cognitive performance at older age groups. Preliminary analysis will involve binary logistic regression to look for predictors of cognitive resilience in APOE4 positive participants.
