| Proposed Analysis: | My PhD project aims to explore interpretable machine learning and explanation methods in the context of imaging-based dementia diagnosis. A neural network will be trained on 3D T1W MRI data and used to classify between healthy controls and people living with Alzheimer's Disease. Other modalities may be explored at a later date. Several state-of-the-art methods will be implemented and compared for their ability to identify informative regions. The results may also be driven by findings using simulated scans under a more controlled experimental setting. |
