Proposed Analysis: I am interested in the role of dopaminergic system in Alzheimer's disease pathology, specially delusions and hallucinations that may be evident late in the disease. In this regard, I am willing to include genetic variations present in the dopamine-involved genes (e.g., COMT) and use diffusion, and functional MRIs to construct networks. My hypothesis is that the dopamine-related gene variations are greatly predictive of brain network changes that can lead to delusions/hallucinations.
