Proposed Analysis: Our literature review paper, aiming to propose mindfulness as a preventative measure against Alzheimer's disease, will analyze neuroimaging data in order to determine if there are any similarities between the areas of the brain shown to be affected in individuals with Alzheimer's disease and the areas of the brain shown to be affected in individuals who practice mindfulness. Thus, upon analyzing the Neuroimaging data, mindfulness can be connected to the neurological changes associated with the development of Alzheimer's disease.

Proposed Analysis: Our literature review paper, aiming to propose mindfulness as a preventative measure against Alzheimer's disease, will analyze data from AIBL regarding health, cognitive and lifestyle factors as they relate to the development and potential mitigation of Alzheimer's disease. Thus, assessing these lifestyle factors and patterns among them associated with the development of Alzheimer's disease will be helpful in determining which lifestyle factors contribute to physiological risk factors of Alzheimer's disease and which lifestyle factors are preventative against Alzheimer's disease. Our literature review paper, aiming to propose mindfulness as a preventative measure against Alzheimer's disease, will analyze neuroimaging data from ADNi in order to determine if there are any similarities between the areas of the brain shown to be affected in individuals with Alzheimer's disease and the areas of the brain shown to be affected in individuals who practice mindfulness. Thus, upon analyzing the Neuroimaging data, mindfulness can be connected to the neurological changes associated with the development of Alzheimer's disease. Our literature review paper, aiming to propose mindfulness as a preventative measure against Alzheimer's disease, will analyze data from ADNIDOD regarding aspects of mental health such as stress and depression, as well as brain structure, to determine the role of these factors in the development and progression of Alzheimer's disease. Thus, analysis of TBI and PTSD data and the effects shown among the veteran population will be useful in analyzing the relationship between stress and depression and Alzheimer's disease.
