Proposed Analysis: 1. Microglia activation states were proposed recently to be responsible for FDG-PET signal alterations in patients with neurodegenerative diseases (Xiang et al. 2021). FDG PET scan information will be extracted from the database to examine its correlations with cross-sectional cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) measurements of soluble TREM2, Ab1–42, and p-tau181 concentrations. 2. To measure whether soluble TREM2 concentrations in (CSF) were associated with cognitive decline and clinical progression in AD patients. 3. APOE4 carriers were recently reported to remember objects and their whereabouts better than noncarriers, which indicates a very interesting finding that APOE4 may sharpen memory in older people (Lu et al. 2021). The database will be used to survey any possible correlations between APOE4 with other biomarkers in hope to find more clues to support this phenomenon.
