| Proposed Analysis: | We would like to evaluate and compare the performance of Hippocampal Segmentation tools used to quantatively assess Hippocampal volumes from 3D MR image sets. We are planing to compare an in-house segmentation tool based on the GIF algorithm against a Microsoft InnerEye model. ADNI MR data will be used to both train and test the latter with the same test set also analysed using the in-house tool to compare performance. Development of a robust hippocampal segmentation tool will: firstly provide a marker to be included in reports to support clinical decision making from MR brain examinations and secondly support research into the development of image-based biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases. |
